Airport Pick Up Procedure


Below is the procedure on Airport Pick Up (Only applicable to students who are entering Malaysia for the first time at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport)

Inform International Student Services (ISS) at least 10 days in advance before your departure from your country and provide us with the following information:

  • Date & Time of Departure from your country
  • Date & Time of Arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport
  • Flight number & Airline Carrier

Note: AeU will not be responsible for any cancellation or delays if the instructions above are not followed.


Step 2

Important documents to bring with you:

  • High school certificates / degree certificates & transcript (with certified true copies)
  • 8 passport-sized colour photographs
  • Medical report
  • Passport (please ensure that it is valid for more than 12 months before expiry);
  • Original copy of Letter of Offer from Asia e University

Step 3 (Disembarkation Card - IMM26)

Before landing, the airline crew will ask you to fill in the disembarkation card. The card should be completed with relevant information and a copy to be kept by you.


Step 4 (Immigration Counter)

  • An officer from AeU shall receive you at the KLIA at the stipulated time.
  • The AeU officer shall hold a signage of Asia e University at the immigration counter. The officer will assist you for immigration clearance.

Reminder: Immigration officers will not release the student without the presence of an Asia e University’s officer to identify and acknowledge the student.

You must get ready the following documents:

  • Passport; and
  • Original copy of Visa Approval Letter or Valid Entry Visa (if required).

Step 5

Upon completion of the Immigration Clearance procedure, AeU officer shall assist you in settling at AeU.

Immigration and Custom Matters


Custom officers may stop travellers and perform random checks. In this regard, please ensure that all taxable items have been declared.

What NOT TO BRING or items that MUST be declared to the Customs upon arrival?

  • plants/ seeds/ animal/ animal products
  • medical products (as far as possible, they must be accompanied by doctor’s prescriptions or letter)
  • firearms are strictly prohibited (it requires a permit)

WARNING: DO NOT CARRY ILLICIT DRUGS. Penalties for drug offences in Malaysia are serious and punishable by death penalty.
