AeU Scholarships and Discounts


AeU New Programme Scholarship


  • Eligible for every new programme offered by AeU.
  • For 1st student intake and 1st semester only.
  • Total scholarship of RM500.00 will be deducted from the total of 1st semester fee.

AeU Merit Scholarship

The AeU Merit scholarship is awarded to the top student in each cohort of a programme based on current academic semester performance. Applicable to both Malaysians and international students, the scholarship will be given to the top student for the following semester of his/her study. This semesterly scholarship covers only the tuition fee.

Criteria:

  • The student is required to obtain a minimum of 3.75 GPA and
  • Has not obtained less than a B+ for any subject in the current semester and
  • Has registered for a subject load not less than 9 credits in the normal semester and not less than 9 credit in a semester and
  • The student must be cleared of any pending disciplinary cases.

If there are more than one student to be considered, the following criteria are to be taken for further consideration:

  • The total mark obtained for all subjects and
  • Participation in the subjects.

The AeU senate has the right to review and amend the criterias and policies of this scholarship, from time to time as required.

Full Semester Payment Discount


  • Full payment of semester fee before or end of week 3 of the semester.
  • No outstanding fee from past semester.
  • Discount of 10% from total tuition fee will be given to the eligible student.

Physical Disadvantaged Fee Discount


Senior Citizen Fee Discount


  • Eligible to senior citizen applicants who are 55 years old and above upon registration.
  • Discount of 75% will be given from the total tuition fee.
  • Applicable to Malaysians only.

Financial Aid


National Higher Education Fund (PTPTN)


  • Applicable to Malaysian students.
  • Applicant’s age must be less than 45 years old at the time of application.
  • Applicant has registered for AeU's Bachelor programme.
  • The loan amount is only for the programme fees charged by the University.
  • The approved programme code for PTPTN loan applications will only be given to students that have registered and paid a minimum payment of RM500.00 to AeU. Applications can be made online.

Financial Institutions Study Loan


  • Students can apply to any financial institution for study loan or personal loan.

EPF Education Withdrawal Scheme


  • The withdrawal allows you to withdraw your savings from Account 2 to finance your education. You are eligible to apply if you fulfill the following requirements:
    • A Malaysian citizen or
    • A Permanent Residence or
    • A Non-Malaysian citizen (Expatriate) who became a member of the EPF before 1st August 1998.
  • You may apply for this withdrawal scheme to cover the programme fees for every semester or one academic year (one time withdrawal in an academic year).
  • Note:
    • New students are required to pay a minimum registration fee of RM500.00 before the Admissions Department is able to issue the Certification Letter and other attachments (if required) that are required to be submitted to the EPF Office.
    • Current students who opt for withdrawal by semester are required to re-register first with a minimum payment of RM170.00 (Postgraduate) or RM120.00 (Undegraduate) or RM130.00 (Undergarduate - Bachelor of Information & Communication Technology) in order to apply for the Certification Withdrawall Letter from the Admissions Department.

Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) Scheme


  • HRDF is a pool of funds that comprise of Human Resource Development levies collected from employers in Malaysia. The establishment is part of the Malaysian government's initiative to encourage the private sector employers to retain and upgrade the skills and knowledge of their employees to be in line with the needs of their business.
  • Students are required to seek advice and approval from their employer to be eligible to apply for the grants.
