On behalf of the staff of the School of Foundation Studies, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you.

The School of Foundation Studies recognizes the need of many secondary school graduates who want a Pre-U education to prepare and guide them well with the academic knowledge, soft skills and confidence to enter and successfully complete your chosen field of study in a reputable university.

The lecturers in the School of Foundation Studies have a broad range of academic and practical expertise to develop skills and knowledge in areas of special interest to you. It must not be forgotten that the staff are also here to support and guide you through your study and I am sure that you will find us all friendly and approachable.

  • To prepare Asian students of diverse language, education and cultural background to enter university on a global basis.
Objectives
  • To enhance English language competency of a standard for tertiary study for students with English as their second language.
  • To equip students with a broad based knowledge to enable them to adapt the challenges of diverse university curriculum.
  • To engage students in the acquisition of skills in Information Technology, communication, independent learning and research for successful university study.
  • To provide quality teaching and learning.
