The information on this page gives an overview of the general entry requirements for all our programmes, from Foundation Studies to Doctorate Programmes. Do note that the following entry requirements are applicable for both Malaysian and International students.
General Entry Requirements
All full time international students are required to achieve a level of English Language Proficiency equivalent to International English Language Testing System (IELTS) of 5.5 or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOFEL) overall score of 550 or the AeU Certificate of Intensive English or any other equivalent qualifications approved by the Senate of the University before he/she is allowed to graduate.
Executive Bachelor Entry Requirements
- Completed an Executive Diploma programme offered by AeU or other local providers recognised by AeU Senate; or
- Any other recognized Diploma programmes which can be considered by AeU Senate; or
- Completed or partially completed professional qualifications or any other equivalent qualifications can be considered by AeU Senate; or
- Candidate aged 25 years and above without the necessary formal academic qualification and with a minimum of 8 years working experience
Bachelor Entry Requirements
Regular Entry
- A minimum of 2 principles in STPM or its equivalent qualification
- Approved/accredited Diploma by Malaysian Qualifications Agency
- Other qualifications recognised by AeU Senate
Open Entry
- At least 21 years old on 1st January of the year of application
- Possess a minimum of PMR/SRP/LCE or its equivalent
- Possess relevant working experience
- Other qualifications recognised by AeU Senate
Executive Masters Entry Requirements
- At least 30 years old on 1st January of the year of application
- Possess a minimum of SPM or equivalent
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of managerial/supervisory working experience
- Other qualifications recognised by AeU Senate
Masters Entry Requirements
Regular Entry
- A Bachelor’s degree or
- Other qualifications recognised by AeU Senate
Open Entry
- At least 35 years old on 1st January of the year of application
- Possess a minimum of Diploma/STPM/HSC/Matriculation or its equivalent
- Possess relevant working experience
- Other qualifications recognised by AeU Senate
Doctorate Entry Requirements
Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)
- A Master’s degree or other qualifications recognised by AeU Senate
PhD Programmes
- A Master’s degree or other qualifications recognised by AeU Senate
