OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AFFAIRS
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) is the central coordinating body for most of the university’s international activities. We believe that the quality of education grows when a classroom is filled with students from around the world, when discussions include cross-cultural perspectives, when faculty and staff grow their skills internationally, and when students can study and work abroad.
OIA provides support and guidance for international students intending to study in AeU in Malaysia.We offer the necessary assistance for all international students by providing the necessary information and guidance so that the students are able to adapt quickly to the new environment in Malaysia. The services that we offer are as follows:
- Assisting student in dealing with immigration matters
- Arrange for airport pick-up for newly arrived students (Applicable to first year students only)
- Assisting new students getting accommodation
- Assisting in securing the necessary medical insurance
- Organising orientation programmes that is important for students acclimatization to the new environment
- Maintain regular contacts with external organisations in different countries, in order to gain cooperation and knowledge that may be of use in the continued internationalisation of our university.
In the effort of internationalizing AeU’s programmes and services, OIA also:
- fosters and maintains a variety of international exchanges and study abroad programmes for students and staff;
- facilitates exchange agreements and other internationalization efforts;
- assists in organizing international conferences and workshops;
- assists in the promotion of international partnerships;
- facilitates international exchanges of staff, students and co-operations and managing the development of study abroad programmes.
We conduct international programme and exchanges between AeU and international institutions, and coordinate various international cultural and training programs both at AeU and in other countries.
AEU CAMPUS AND LIFE IN MALAYSIA
AeU Main Campus is situated in Kuala Lumpur, the capital and the largest city of Malaysia. With learning centres in most of the states in Malaysia, as well as in other countries around the world, AeU has a wide network of locations to deliver undergraduate, postgraduate and executive development programmes.
To live in Malaysia is a great experience for students, with an amazing variety of architecture, festivals, foods, music, art and fashion. It is a lively and multi-ethnic city of 2 million people.
AeU Main Campus is located at Jalan Sultan Sulaiman, working easily accessible distance to bus, taxi and rail stations which provide easy access to Kuala Lumpur and throughout Malaysia.
We are only about 15 minutes away from the spectacular Petronas Twin Towers. Surrounding the Twin Towers is Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) where you can find beautiful parks and fountains next to KLCC's choice of Suria shopping mall, with its many restaurants and cafes.
You can get the Express Rail Link (ERL) or also known as KLIA Express from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to KL Sentral in just 28 minutes instead of spending 55 minutes on a car or taxi. The train takes around 28 minutes and pulls into KL Sentral train station on arrival in Kuala Lumpur. From here, you can take a taxi to AeU or to another Kuala Lumpur destination.
Kuala Lumpur Sentral is only about 10 minutes away from AeU. Kuala Lumpur Sentral (KL Sentral)is aMalaysia largest transit hub, offering connectivity to other means of transportation easily. Its infrastructure supports six rail networks – the KLIA Express Rail Link, KLIA Transit, RAPID KL (Putra), KTM Komuter, KTM Intercity and KL Monorail Services, demonstrating its excellent global connectivity and access within an integrated and self-contained live, work and play environment.
Kuala Lumpur is famous with wide range of mouth watering good food, whether you decided to eat in fine-dining restaurants or in hawker stalls position along the sprawling streets. The hawker stalls offeringcheap and tasty food, in which you can learn a lot about Malaysian food. The restaurants offers various types of cuisine based on various nationalities, i.e. Malay, Chinese, Indian, Nyonya, Thai, Middle East and a lot more.

PROCEDURES FOR APPLYING STUDENT PASS
- 1 copy of the Letter of Offer (official) by AeU
- Four (4) certified photocopies of International Passport (Including covers and empty pages)
- Eight (8) recent passport size passport (with light blue background)
- For students who have accepted an admission offer from another university or university college or college in Malaysia, kindly inform the AeU Office of International Affairs and forward a release letter from the respective higher education institution.
- A student is only allowed one student visa at a time during the duration of study in Malaysia.

- Flight number & Airline Carrier
- High school certificates / degree certificates & transcript (with certified true copies)
- 8 passport-sized colour photographs
- Medical report
- Passport (please ensure that it is valid for more than 12 months before expiry);
- Original copy of Letter of Offer from Asia e University
- Passport; and
- Original copy of Visa Approval Letter or Valid Entry Visa (if required).
IMMIGRATION AND CUSTOM MATTERS
