The scholarship is will be in the form of full waiver of tuition fee.

Undergraduate Students

The scholarship is open to all nationalities and preference is given to citizens of ACD member countries.

Criteria:

• Completed a Diploma, Pre-University or any other recognized certificates.
• Achieved academic excellence in their past performance at schools/colleges, etc.
• Have active participation in extra-curricular activities or community services during their study period.
• Fulfill the assessment criteria of the Selection Committee.

Postgraduate Students

The scholarship is open to all nationalities and preference is given to citizens of ACD member countries.

Criteria:

• Completed a Degree programme successfully
• Must have obtained a minimum of CGPA 3.75 or equivalent upon completion of his/her programme
• Fulfill the assessment criteria of the Selection Committee.

This fellowship is to promote outstanding scholarship and research in the ACD countries at postgraduate level. It is open to all nationalities, however preference is given to citizens of ACD member countries. The fellowship will be in the form of full waiver of the tuition fees. 

Criteria:

• The fellowship is offered to a candidate who has excelled at master’s level.  This is an incentive for the candidate to pursue a PhD/Doctoral degree at AeU.
• The research interest must be in line with AeU’s strategic direction.

A bursary is awarded on the basis of financial needs to enable the student to further his/her studies. This award is offered to undergraduate candidates for selected academic programmes in AeU. The award is open to Malaysian citizens only.

Criteria:

• Achieved academic excellence in their past performance at schools/colleges, etc.
• Participation in extra-curricular activities or community services.
• Fulfill the assessment criteria of the Selection Panel/Committee.
• The student must show evidence that his/her personal OR guardian income is not more than RM3, 000.00 per month or RM36, 000.00 per annum.

This award is given to the best overall student(s) who have shown outstanding achievements at undergraduate levels.

Criteria:

• Candidate is nominated by each school and approved by a Committee.
• Candidate must have obtained a minimum of CGPA 3.75 in the undergraduate programme.
• No disciplinary action has been imposed on the candidate during period of study at AeU.
• Conforms to all academic requirements and regulations (eg. timely submission of assignments).
• The prize will be in the form of a certificate, trophy/medal and cash (RM1000).
• The award is not open for application.
• This award is conferred during the University Convocation.
• If no one qualifies for the year concerned, no prize will be awarded.
• If more than one qualifies, selection will be made by the Selection Panel.
• The decision of the Senate is final.

This award is given to the best overall student(s) who have shown outstanding achievements at the postgraduate levels.

• Candidate must have obtained a minimum of CGPA 3.75 in the postgraduate programme.
• No disciplinary action has been imposed on the candidate during period of study at AeU.
• Conforms to all academic requirements and regulations (eg. timely submission of assignments).
• The prize will be in the form of a certificate, trophy/medal and cash (RM3,000).
• The prize is awarded for a taught programme at Postgraduate level within the stipulated duration of study.
• The award is not open for application.
• This award is conferred during the University Convocation.
• If no one qualifies for the year concerned, no prize will be awarded.
• If more than one qualifies, selection will be made by the Selection Panel.
• The decision of the Senate is final.

These special awards are given to undergraduate students by corporate bodies/individuals. The award is given to students who have achieved outstanding performance in their academic programme in areas of study identified by the sponsoring organizations/individuals. Additional criteria may be set by the sponsoring organizations.

The award will be in the form of the following:

Certificate/Trophy/Medal

• Cash/Gift award
• Any other form determined by the organization(s)/individual(s)

The award will be named according to the recommendations of the sponsoring organizations. The award is not open for application and neither transferable nor exchangeable for cash. If no one qualifies for the year concerned, no prize will be awarded. This award is conferred during the University Convocation.
