Here at Asia e University (AeU), we want every postgraduate student to complete his/her programme of studies on-time and with excellent academic standing. Towards this end, we at the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) are committed to offer our postgraduate students an environment conducive to learning with a range of enrichment activities and support mechanism that contribute to their success.
Postgraduate students who enrol at AeU study via a Learning Management System (LMS), an online system which allows them access to notes, lectures, their lecturers and digital library at all times of the day, from where ever they are in the world. AeU library offers an excellent collection of books and e-information resources in a 'living library' ambience, conducive for learning.
For those who feel the need for face-to-face meetings, students are advised to meet their lecturers or facilitators for about four hours, once a month, for each subject they study. Their studies are supplemented via learning materials which are uploaded into their LMS. In order to facilitate our postgraduate students complete their programmes on time, SGS regularly organises workshops and seminars to discuss their research progress with their supervisors and invited academics.
Despite the flexibility, programmes at AeU also meet stringent standards and do not scrimp on quality. The SGS has a close monitoring system to ensure that the standards of the programmes and the supervision accorded to students for their postgraduate programmes. AeU has appointed renown academicians from world-class universities as external examiners for global benchmarking.
The postgraduate programmes at AeU are conducted in collaboration with the industries. Various partners from the various industries come in as visiting lecturers, and there is also a student placement programme in place with major companies. AeU will collaborate with institutions of higher learning (IHL) and training centres in the 31 ACD countries to offer academic programmes and training to all participating countries. Its programmes and products are focused on affordability, accessibility, and marketability, and characterised by their flexibility, quality, and relevance.
