Together with Bureau of Indian Distance Learning, AeU has commenced operations in more than 118 Learning Centres spanning across the country, registering over 500 students in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes since January 2009. The learning centres have well developed laboratories, class rooms, computer facilities and experienced faculties. AeU is confident that operations in India with the assistance of BIDL will achieve its targets and objectives of "Reaching the Unreached" through Open Distance Learning Programmes.

AeU's request for approval to function in India was forwarded to the Indian Ministry of Human Resource Development by the Malaysian Indian High Commissioner in 2009. The Distance Education Council (DEC) in India has given approval to AeU to function in India on 20 August 2009. AeU has submitted its academic programmes to be delivered in India to the DEC.

• Workshops and seminars in AeU campus.
• Industrial visits for MBA students to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
• SIM pattern learning materials of international standards.
• Co guide facilities in Malaysia for Ph.D candidates.
• Selective off campus mode programmes for Education, Management, B.Sc.,Nursing and Hospitality courses.

• Biannual admissions in January and June with 2 examinations.
• For admissions, students can apply using application forms obtained from BIDL authorized learning centres or download from here. Admission will be offered based on students fulfilling the required criteria. For students seeking admission to MBA and PhD, admission will be based on passing the Entrance Test in addition to fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
• The programmes with AeU India are only open to Indian nationals.
