The AeU Bachelor of Education (sponsored by Program Pensiswazahan Guru, Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi) is for Malaysian teachers who want a comprehensive teaching degree that will assist them in building successful careers in the education sector, and most importantly, for those with a passion for teaching.
For February 2012 intake, AeU offers the following specialisations:
- Bachelor of Education (TESL) with Honors
- Bachelor of Education (Primary Malay Language) with Honors
Accredited programme by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), Ministry of Higher Education.

- This is a part time, accredited teaching degree that is ideal for working teachers. The programme utilises blended learning - a combination of online and face-to-face learning.
- The programme prepares teachers academically, emotionally and spiritually - a wholesome set of skills required to guide their own students.

- Extra set of specialisation areas customised for participants of BPG Programme (applicable to selected participants only).
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma with at least CGPA 2.00 OR
- Matriculation/Preparatory programmes with at least CGPA 2.00 OR
- SPM or its equivalent with 3 years related working experience OR
- International Baccalaureate (IB) with 24 points OR
- A Level with at least C grade in 3 subjects OR
- Open Entry Qualifications recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia
- at least 21 years old and possess PMR or equivalent OR
- Other qualifications recognised by the AeU Senate

- An in-depth understanding of the curriculum and strategies for teaching English/Malay
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills in designing, implementing and evaluating curricula, learning programmes and classroom practices in teaching English/Malay
- Appreciate the diversity of Asian society, particularly in relation to socio-economic class, culture, language, gender and disability, and their influence on the learning of English/Malay
- Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills including both written and verbal abilities relevant to the teaching of English/Malay
REGISTRATION DETAILS
The registration for February 2012 intake will be held on 25 and 26 February at various locations throughout Malaysia. If you have received a letter of offer from AeU, you will have all the information required to proceed with registration.
