The Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education (GDipECE) programme is designed for practicing early childhood educators and childcare providers who want to expand their academic knowledge and enhance their professional skills. It is specially tailored for educators and childcare providers who intend to acquire a recognised qualification in early childhood education but are unable to leave their place of work. The programme is internationally benchmarked, approved by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency.

Normal Entry

  • STPM/'A' Levels or equivalent qualifications with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in two (2) subjects; OR
  • STAM (Grade Jayyid); OR
  • UEC with at least Grade B in five (5) subjects; OR
  • A Matriculation/ Foundation Programme from any IPTA/IPTS/Institution authorised to offer foundation programme with CGPA 2.00; OR
  • Other equivalent qualifications recognised

English Language Competency Requirement (for International Students)

  • Minimum score of 500 for TOEFL OR Minimum score of 5.0 for IELTS OR its equivalent
  • Any International students from countries using English as an official medium of instruction or from an academic institution using English as a medium of instruction, shall normally be exempted from the above requirement

Alternative Entry

Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) Entry Requirements:

  • 21 years of age in the year of application
  • Possess relevant work experience
  • Passed the APEL assessment
